Course Summary:
Teachers will explore the new NSW Syllabus for the Australian Curriculum Technology Mandatory and its emphasis on PBL pedagogical approaches. They will be introduced to use a 'Solution Fluency' framework. They will explore food and fibre production, textiles and technology curriculum examples and ideas to inspire their own projects. They will 'workshop' a PBL context for Years 7-8 Technology Mandatory and design a teaching program to implement using the knowledge gained about PBL.
Completing the course will contribute 6 hours of NESA Registered PD, addressing the standards:
6.2.2, 2.1.2, 2.2.2, 2.3.2, 2.4.2, 6.1.2, 3.1.2, 3.2.2, 3.3.2 and 3.4.2
Costs: $260 or $195 for Members of NSW Professional Association.
